What a game. Everything up and down the ice was spectacular. Henrik Lundqvist made big saves when the Caps were still in the game, and also when they were long out of it. Even though there were four post shots against the Rangers, they still managed to hold it together for the shutout. On that note, those post shots aren't always going to bounce out. Henrik better know that for next game.
But there is so much to talk about. Staal had a shorthanded beauty that put the Rangers in the lead of most shorthanded goals in the league. Also, Ryan Callahan turned on his play in the 3rd period to seal off the victory.
Oh yeah... and some guy on the Capitals tried to fight Brandon Dubinsky. Alex O-something?
Yeah, Alex Ovechkin fought Brandon Dubinsky. In only his second fight in the NHL, Ovechkin wasted no time after throwing a semi-sketchy hip check on Dan Girardi. He skated toward center ice, saw Dubinsky, and away they went. It was magical.
In my opinion, Dubinsky definitely won that fight. While neither of these players are notable fighters, Dubinsky definitely connected on two or three occasions, while Ovechkin looked like he was trying to hit a piƱata blindfolded. Heres the video, so that you may judge for yourself...
Just wanted to make note of the massacre the Rangers put on at the Garden last night. Now back to finals...
