Rangers Update

Its been a slow few days without any hockey to watch. Not much has gone on with the Rangers, so I haven't had much to blog about. Luckily, the Rangers play the Senators for the second time tomorrow so I will have some content up before the game. But there are a few things that popped up about a few players these past two days.

According to Yahoo.com, Alex Frolov has made a comment to the media that he is upset with the amount of ice time he has been getting from coach John Tortorella. He believes that unacceptable for him to be playing 7-8 minutes on a power line.... aka, the fourth line. My response for Alex is a short one: earn your ice time. Frolov has not been putting up numbers that argue that he should be getting more ice time. I don't hear Ruslan Fedotenko or Erik Christensen whining about their ice time, who have equal amount of points to Frolov. If he wants the ice time, he has to earn it but putting numbers up.

In other news, Sean Avery is still in the running for the NHL All Star Game with 64,450 votes. He has beaten out fellow Rangers Marian Gaborik, as well as Patrick Sharp, Alexander Semin, and both Sedin twins. This campaign has really taken over a mind of its own, and I am proud of those campaigners who have followed it up with much enthusiasm. I, myself, have taken the liberty of filling out nearly 25 votes for Mr. Avery, and I urge all to do the same! There is still time to vote, and it is absolutely free. So sign up and vote for all of our fellow Rangers to get them into the All Star Game!
